Special Security Unit (SSU) is Pakistan’s first ISO certified police organization, which provides equal opportunities to women and encourages every interested citizen to apply.
According to the SSU statement, 63,000 applications have been received for recruitment in the SSU, including 55,000 for commandos in the National Testing Services (NTS) and 8,000 for civilian employees.
The Special Security Unit (SSU) is one of the distinctive units of Sindh Police with its distinctive operational characteristics i.e. it simultaneously performs security and counter-terrorism tasks with remarkable accuracy, precision and professionalism. On 18-10-2010, realizing the vision of the then President of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, the SSU came into existence as a Special Security Unit. It started with the order to provide security to important persons and important installations. However, with increasing challenges and risks to the peace and security of important personalities and important installations, the role of the SSU is increasing to accommodate the emerging security and counter-terrorism needs of the Sindh Police. Owing to dynamic leadership, dedicated staff and professionally innovative approach towards contemporary issues, SSU is known as the bright face of Sindh Police.
Physical Test of Commandos, Women Commandos and Constable Drivers:
The physical test for commandos, women commandos and constable drivers will be held from August 15 to 23, and candidates who qualify the physical test will be allowed to appear in the written and psychometric (qualifying test), which will be held on August 28. According to the statement, the written and psychometric (aptitude test) for junior clerk will be held on August 21, while the typing test will be held on August 28.
NTS SSU Written and Psychometric Test:
The written and psychometric (aptitude test) for waiter, cook, auto-mechanic and sweeper will be held on August 21, while the performance test will be held on August 28.
Commandos, Women Commandos and Constable Drivers, only those candidates will be allowed to appear in the written test who will qualify the physical test first.
In the case of civilian staff, only those candidates who qualify the first written test will be allowed to appear in the typing test.
